C9300-NM-8X Description

C9300-NM-8X network module instantly equips a Cisco Catalyst 9300 (and legacy 3850) chassis with eight 10-Gigabit SFP+ uplink ports. Installed tool-free into the front Type-1 bay, it delivers an aggregate 80 Gbps full-duplex bandwidth without requiring a chassis restart. Each cage supports 10GBASE-SR/LR/ER/ZR, copper 10G-T, or 1 G SFP optics, allowing flexible fiber or copper backbones. The module inherits all Secure Boot, Trust Anchor, and MACsec capabilities of the host switch and needs no additional licence—IOS XE auto-discovers the ports on insertion.
