C8300-1N1S-6T vs C8375-E-G2

C8300-1N1S-6T and C8375-E-G2 each expose six built-in routed ports, but they operate at very different speeds. C8300-1N1S-6T uses four 1G RJ-45 ports and two 1G SFP ports; C8375-E-G2 uses four 2.5G RJ-45 ports and two 1/10G SFP+ ports. The two routers otherwise share a 1RU format with one NIM, one service-module and one cellular PIM slot. C8375-E-G2 also starts with 16 GB of DRAM rather than 8 GB and includes a Secure Networking Processor for routing and security functions.

Buying decision

How to choose between C8300-1N1S-6T and C8375-E-G2

Review the differences in this order to identify the model that best fits the intended deployment.

  1. 01

    Traffic and deployment role

Size the platform for the branch, aggregation or edge role using the Cisco throughput metric that matches the planned traffic mode.

  2. 02

    Interfaces and expansion

Confirm built-in WAN media and speeds, then check NIM, SM-X or other module support for current and future circuits.

  3. 03

    Software, licensing and power

Verify SD-WAN or routing software, subscriptions, memory, storage and the required power-redundancy design.

Before ordering Confirm the exact Product ID, license tier, power supplies, accessories and regional requirements.
