Cisco Catalyst IE-3100-8T2S-A is a DIN-rail, fan-less industrial Ethernet switch that marries eight Gigabit copper downlinks with two dedicated SFP uplinks, all forwarding at wire-speed. Running Cisco IOS XE and the Network Advantage image, it delivers full Layer-3 routing (OSPF, BGP, VRF-Lite, PIM) and port-based MACsec-256 encryption for zero-trust OT segmentation. Dual 9.6–60 V DC inputs, <50 ms REP/MRP ring fail-over and -40 °C to +70 °C tolerance keep production lines, roadside cabinets and substations online in the harshest conditions.
