The CW9800H2 is one of the two replacements Cisco names for the C9800-80-K9. The CW9800H2 keeps the same access point and client limits in one rack unit instead of two, with fixed 40G QSFP uplinks in place of the module bay. A 100G link has no match on the CW9800H1 or CW9800H2.
Start with the specifications that decide whether a model fits, whether they differ or not. Each card says if the values are the same.

8 x 1/10G SFP+; 2 x 40G QSFP
The CW9800H2 takes 40G QSFP optics on built-in ports, so no uplink module is needed. It keeps the C9800-80-K9's access point and client limits, and its throughput rises from 80 to 100 Gbps. Each site can hold 300 FlexConnect access points against 100.
The CW9800H1, the other replacement Cisco names, has four 25G SFP28 ports in place of the two QSFP ports and is otherwise identical. A link on the C9800-80-K9's 100G module has no direct equivalent on either model.
Stateful switchover pairs only identical hardware, so both units of a C9800-80-K9 pair move to the CW9800H2 together, and a CW9800H2 cannot back up a CW9800H1. The CW9800H2 needs Cisco IOS XE 17.14.1 or later; confirm the release supports every access point model in service.
