The IE-9320-22S2C4X-E delivers the Catalyst IE9300 series' unique timing hardware at the Network Essentials tier: a stackable, conformal-coated 1RU fanless switch with 22 Gigabit SFP downlinks, 2 dual-media combo ports, 4 SFP+ uplinks at 1G or 10G, a GNSS/GPS time source input, and IRIG-B input/output in eight formats. Every hardware exclusive of the 22S2C4X design works at this license: satellite-derived clocking, IRIG-B distribution to legacy relays, salt-mist and mixed-gas corrosion resistance, HSR and PRP with PTP over PRP, IEC 61850-9-3 Power Utility Profile timing, and 95.23 Mpps of forwarding onto 10G backhaul. Essentials also carries OSPF with 1,000 routes, RIP, PBR, REP and MRP rings with MRP over Stacking, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, and IOx - so only VRF segmentation, TrustSec, BGP-class routing, and MACsec-256 wait behind the perpetual IE9300-NW-A= in-place upgrade. Dual isolated power modules and hazardous-location approvals finish the utility spec.
