Cisco DS-C9148T-24PITK9 is a 48-port 32-Gbps Fibre Channel switch bundle in the MDS 9148T family, shipping with port-side intake airflow components for hot-aisle/cold-aisle compatibility. It enables 24 active ports out of the box and grows to 48 via 8-port Port-On-Demand licenses, protecting CapEx while maintaining line-rate performance across autosensing 4/8/16/32-Gbps FC links . The platform integrates mature SAN tooling (SPAN, FC traceroute, diagnostics) and modern telemetry to accelerate troubleshooting and capacity planning . It supports VSAN-based isolation, IVR, and FC-SP for secure multi-tenant SANs, with programmatic control via NX-OS CLI, SNMP, and out-of-band Ethernet/USB management . Red (intake) fan modules and matching PSUs keep airflow direction consistent; all modules in the chassis must use the same airflow type .
