FPR4115-ASA-K9 Description
The FPR4115-ASA-K9 is a Cisco Firepower 4100 Series ASA firewall appliance for data center and internet-edge boundaries that need 80 Gbps of stateful inspection. The 1RU appliance provides 40 Gbps multiprotocol throughput, 15 million concurrent connections, 15,000 VPN peers, eight 10G SFP+ ports and two network module bays. ASA and Threat Defense are separate appliance models on the 4115 hardware, and 100G modules need ASA 9.18.1 or later.

Product Performance
Key Features
The 4115 handles 80 Gbps of stateful inspection and 40 Gbps multiprotocol traffic with 15 million concurrent connections and 848K new connections per second. The 4112 reaches 40 Gbps, 30 Gbps and 10 million connections.
The eight on-chassis ports accept 1G and 10G SFP and SFP+ optics. A 1G SFP management port is separate from the data ports.
The network module bays take 100G QSFP28, 40G QSFP+, 10G SFP+ and fail-to-wire modules, up to 24 x 10G or 4 x 100G ports. 100G modules need ASA 9.18.1 or later.
The 4115 carries twice the 4112 memory at 192 GB. The 400 GB SSD sits in slot 1, and the 4125 and 4145 use an 800 GB drive.
One 1100W AC supply is installed and the second bay accepts another for 1+1 redundancy. Single or dual 950W DC supplies are the DC option, and the 4125 includes two AC supplies.
IPsec throughput is 15 Gbps across 15,000 peers, and 10 contexts are included up to a maximum of 250. Up to 16 appliances can form an ASA cluster.
Application Scenarios
A large campus can run its internet perimeter on the appliance, with 80 Gbps of stateful inspection throughput and 15 million concurrent connections behind the SFP+ uplinks.
A hosting or shared-services data center can split tenants across up to 250 security contexts, with 100G or 40G network modules facing the core.
An enterprise with a large remote workforce can terminate IPsec sessions on the appliance, which carries 15 Gbps of IPsec throughput and 15,000 VPN peers.

FPR4115-ASA-K9 and FPR4115-NGFW-K9 are the same FPR-4115 hardware with 192 GB of memory, 400 GB of storage, eight SFP+ ports and two network module bays, and differ in the software the PID is ordered for: ASA on FPR4115-ASA-K9, NGFW on FPR4115-NGFW-K9. Sites that need less ASA capacity can take FPR4112-ASA-K9, which has 96 GB of memory, 30 Gbps of ASA multiprotocol throughput against 40 Gbps and 10 million connections against 15 million. Designs that need 45 Gbps of ASA multiprotocol throughput, 25 million connections or 800 GB of storage should move to FPR4125-ASA-K9, which ships with dual 1100W AC supplies, whereas FPR4115-ASA-K9 starts with a single 1100W AC supply.
