The C9300-DNA-E-24-3Y is a Cisco DNA Essentials software subscription for 24-port Cisco Catalyst 9300 copper switches with modular uplinks in branch and campus closets. The 3-year term covers the 24-port copper model group, and the subscription is recorded in the customer’s Smart Account. The Essentials tier leaves out SD-Access, IPsec and app hosting, which need Advantage.

- Tier: Select DNA Essentials by hand, matching the -E suffix of the switch. The configurator opens on Advantage, which does not match a Network Essentials switch.
- Term: Select 3Y in place of the 5-year default. The configurator defaults to a 5-year term, so a 3-year entitlement has to be selected.
- Smart Account: Use an existing Smart Account, or create a new one at purchase. Catalyst 9300 licenses are stored in the Smart Account, and the order cannot be placed without one.
