The C9350-48HX supports IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 UPOE+ technology, delivering up to 90W of power on all 48 ports simultaneously. This high-density power capability eliminates the need for electrical upgrades when deploying power-hungry devices like pan-tilt-zoom cameras, daisy-chained LED lighting, and high-performance thin clients.
Featuring the new StackWise-1.6T technology, the switch offers 1.6 Tbps of aggregated stacking bandwidth. This allows up to eight switches to be managed as a single logical unit with distributed forwarding, scaling up to 384 Multigigabit ports without creating bandwidth bottlenecks between stack members.
The platform supports high-speed modular uplinks, including the C9350-NM-4C module, which provides up to 400 Gbps of total uplink bandwidth (4x 100G). This flexibility supports seamless migration from 40G to 100G core connections as network traffic demands increase.
The C9350-48HX is hardware-ready for advanced security features, including line-rate MACsec AES-GCM-256 encryption and high-scale IPsec up to 100G. It also supports Cisco Hypershield for distributed threat mitigation and is ready for post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms.
With an x86-based multicore CPU, 16 GB of DDR5 memory, and support for local SSD storage, the switch can host containerized third-party applications. This enables edge computing capabilities, such as running Cisco ThousandEyes agents for direct visibility into network performance and user experience.
