C9350-NM-2C Description
The C9350-NM-2C is a Cisco Catalyst 9350 Series Smart Switches network module for adding 40G or 100G fiber uplinks to access switches. The module has two QSFP28 ports that run at 40G or 100G, for up to 200 Gbps of uplink bandwidth, and it is hot-swappable. The module installs in C9350-24P, C9350-48P, C9350-24T, C9350-48T, C9350-24U, C9350-48U, C9350-48TX and C9350-48HX.

In a closet that powers dense Wi-Fi access points from a C9350-48TX, the module carries the aggregated multigigabit traffic back to the core over QSFP28 optics or direct-attach cables.

C9350-NM-2C and C9350-NM-4C are both QSFP28 40G/100G uplink modules, but C9350-NM-2C has two ports for up to 200 Gbps while C9350-NM-4C has four ports for up to 400 Gbps. The four-port module installs only in C9350-48HX, C9350-48TX and C9350-24Y, so C9350-24P, C9350-48P, C9350-24T, C9350-48T, C9350-24U and C9350-48U can take only C9350-NM-2C or C9350-NM-8Y. Uplinks that run on SFP-family optics at 1G, 10G or 25G, or four 50G ports, need C9350-NM-8Y, which has eight SFP56 ports and turns the lower row off when the upper row is switched to 50G mode.
Ordering Checklist
- Catalyst 9350 hosts: Use the module in C9350-24P, C9350-48P, C9350-24T, C9350-48T, C9350-24U, C9350-48U, C9350-48TX and C9350-48HX. Other host models are not on Cisco’s support list.
- Module PID: Order C9350-NM-2C on a new switch order and C9350-NM-2C= as the spare. The = PID is the separate spare for replacing or adding a module on an installed switch.
