The C9K-F3-SSD-480GB is a Cisco Catalyst 9500X Series pluggable SSD module for local storage on Catalyst 9500X switches. The module provides 480GB of SATA SSD capacity, installs in the USB 3.0 SSD module slot and is a field-replaceable unit. The module works only in Catalyst 9500X switches and is not hot-swappable, so the switch must be powered off before the module is installed or removed.

Capacity is the only difference: a build that needs less local space for application hosting or operational files can drop to C9K-F3-SSD-240GB, and one that needs more moves up to C9K-F3-SSD-960GB.
