The C9K-F3-SSD-960GB is a Cisco Catalyst 9500X Series pluggable SSD module for switch-local storage on Catalyst 9500X switches. The module provides 960GB of capacity and installs in the rear-panel USB 3.0 SSD module slot, secured with two screws. The SSD is a field-replaceable unit but not hot-swappable, so the switch must be powered off before the module is removed or installed.

C9K-F3-SSD-960GB is the largest of the three C9K-F3 SSD modules at 960GB, against 480GB on C9K-F3-SSD-480GB and 240GB on C9K-F3-SSD-240GB; all three are Catalyst 9500X-only, install in the USB 3.0 SSD module slot with the switch powered off, and are not hot-swappable. Capacity is the only difference, so a build that needs less local space for application hosting or operational files can drop to C9K-F3-SSD-480GB, and C9K-F3-SSD-240GB covers the smallest footprint. Switches other than Catalyst 9500X models fall outside this SSD family.
