The C9K-F2-SSD-960GB is a Cisco Catalyst 9600 Series 960GB M.2 SATA SSD module for local storage on Catalyst 9600 supervisor engines. The module is a 22 x 88 mm M.2 SATA card with 960GB of capacity, mounts as disk0: in Cisco IOS XE, and supports the EXT2, EXT3 and EXT4 file systems. The module fits only the M.2 connector on a Catalyst 9600 supervisor, so the supervisor has to be removed from the chassis for installation.

The Cisco configurator preselects the 960 GB SSD on the main supervisor, so choosing C9K-F2-SSD-480GB or C9K-F2-SSD-240GB means replacing that default. Container applications and packet-capture files kept on the supervisor’s disk0: volume are the case for the full 960 GB, while C9K-F2-SSD-240GB or C9K-F2-SSD-480GB fits when the hosted applications need less local storage. All three PIDs can also be ordered as spares.
