The N3K-AD-XF2 is a Cisco Nexus 3000 Series NX-OS Advantage license for data center switches in the XF2 platform class above 6.4 Tbps. The license is perpetual and carries the Advantage package, which includes all Essentials features plus MPLS Layer 3 VPN, SR-MPLS, Tenant Routed Multicast and VXLAN EVPN Multi-site. The license is not portable between devices, and feature support varies by platform and NX-OS release.

The license does not expire, so the Advantage feature set stays active without a renewal date.
MPLS Layer 3 VPN, SR-MPLS, Tenant Routed Multicast and VXLAN EVPN Multi-site are included in the Advantage package and are not part of Essentials.
BGP, OSPF, PIM, VXLAN BGP EVPN and sFlow telemetry come with the Advantage package, so no separate Essentials license is needed on the same switch.
The XF2 class applies to Nexus 3000 switches with more than 6.4 Tbps of throughput, which sets the hardware this license can be assigned to.
Where an Advantage license and an Essentials license are both present on a switch, the Advantage license takes priority.
Nexus 3000 perpetual licenses are not portable between devices, so the entitlement stays with the switch it was first assigned to.
Application Scenarios
A data center that runs Nexus 3000 switches above 6.4 Tbps as leaf or spine nodes can extend its VXLAN EVPN fabric to a second site with Multi-site support from the Advantage package.
A provider or large enterprise edge that carries traffic over SR-MPLS terminates it on a Nexus 3000 switch licensed with the Advantage package.
A data center that hosts several tenants routes multicast between their VRFs on the switch with Tenant Routed Multicast, a feature of the Advantage package.
