N3K-PDC-350W-B Description
The N3K-PDC-350W-B is a Cisco Nexus 3000 Series 350W DC power supply for Nexus 2000 and 3000 racks that run reverse airflow with port-side intake. The supply delivers up to 350W from a -40 to -72 VDC input at 88% typical efficiency at -48V, and it is hot-swappable. The supply is not supported on the Nexus 2232TM and 2232TM-E fabric extenders.

Application Scenarios
In a telecom-style data center with -48V DC distribution, a Nexus 3548 or 3524 top-of-rack switch takes this supply to run from the DC plant while its fans keep port-side intake airflow.
A row of Nexus 2248TP or 2232PP fabric extenders on a DC feed can carry this supply, so the extenders draw from the -48V plant and share the reverse airflow of the rest of the rack.

N3K-PDC-350W-B is the DC power supply with reverse airflow (port-side intake), while N2200-PDC-400W is the 400W DC supply with standard airflow (port-side exhaust), so the airflow of the fans and neighbouring supplies in the chassis decides between the two. Sites with an AC feed move to N2200-PAC-400W-B when port-side intake is needed and to N2200-PAC-400W when port-side exhaust is needed. On Nexus 2200 fabric extenders, N3K-PDC-350W-B is supported on 2224TP, 2248TP, 2248TP-E, 2232PP and 2248PQ, but not on 2232TM or 2232TM-E. Cisco documents it as the same part as N2200-PDC-350W-B.
Ordering Checklist
- Nexus 3000 hosts: Nexus 3016, 3048, 3064-T, 3064-X, 3132Q, 3172PQ and 3172TQ list N3K-PDC-350W-B= as the DC port-side intake supply; 3232C, 3164Q, 3264Q and 3264C-E do not. The spare appears in the spares table only for the listed models, so the other Nexus 3000 chassis need a different supply.
- Nexus 3500 hosts: Nexus 3548-10G, 3548-10GX, 3548P-XL and 3524 list N3K-PDC-350W-B= as the DC port-side intake supply, with port-side intake fan NXA-FAN-30CFM-B. The supply and fans in one chassis must share the same airflow direction.
- Nexus 2200 hosts: Use Nexus 2224TP, 2248TP, 2248TP-E, 2232PP and 2248PQ; 2232TM and 2232TM-E are not supported. The two 2232TM models cannot use this supply even though they are Nexus 2200 units.
