C9105AXI-H Description
The C9105AXI-H is a Cisco Catalyst 9105 Series indoor Wi-Fi 6 access point with internal antennas for small offices and branch sites. The AP has 2x2:2 MU-MIMO radios on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, an 802.11ax PHY rate of up to 1.488 Gbps, one 10/100/1000BASE-T uplink and an 11W draw that 802.3af PoE can supply. The access point has no downlink LAN ports or USB, and its -H suffix sets the regulatory domain.

C9105AXI-H is the ceiling-mount model with one 10/100/1000BASE-T uplink and no downlink LAN ports or USB, while C9105AXW-H is the wall-plate version with a 100/1000/2500BASE-T multigigabit uplink, three 10/100/1000BASE-T LAN ports and USB 2.0. A wall-mounted AP or in-room wired devices call for C9105AXW-H, whose LAN1 and USB output depends on power: 802.3af disables both, and 802.3at allows only one at a time. Cisco recommends ceiling mounting for C9105AXI-H and the wall-plate model for walls. C9105AXI-EWC-H is the same indoor design ordered with the Embedded Wireless Controller image, so it replaces C9105AXI-H when the site plans no separate controller.
Ordering Checklist
- Regulatory domain: Confirm the countries covered by the -H suffix at cisco.com/go/aironet/compliance. The data sheet lists only the -x placeholder, so the -H country list is not on the order and a wrong suffix fails on site.
- Mounting parts: Select the AIR-AP-BRACKET-8= low-profile ceiling bracket and a clip: AIR-AP-T-RAIL-R (default), AIR-AP-T-RAIL-F or AIR-CHNL-ADAPTER. The bracket ships only when selected at order, and the clips are optional, so none is automatically in the box.
- Power source: Power the AP with 802.3af or 802.3at from the switch port, or add the AIR-PWRINJ6= injector when the port has no PoE. The AP has no power input other than PoE, so an unpowered port leaves it offline.
- Supported controllers: Use Catalyst 9800, 3504, 5520, 8540 or a virtual WLC, on Unified Wireless Network 8.10MR3 or IOS XE 17.3.1 or later. An older controller release cannot manage the AP.
