The C9115AXI-R is a Cisco Catalyst 9115AX Series indoor Wi-Fi 6 access point with internal antennas for controller-managed offices and classrooms in the R regulatory domain. The AP runs 4x4 MIMO with four spatial streams on dual 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios, uses four integrated dual-band antennas, and has a 100/1000/2500 Multigigabit Ethernet uplink with a 20.4W maximum draw at 802.3at. Under 802.3af power the radios drop to 2x2, the uplink falls to 1G and USB is disabled.

C9115AXI-R and C9115AXE-R share the -R regulatory suffix, 4×4 MIMO and the 2.5G Multigigabit uplink, but C9115AXI-R has four integrated dual-band antennas (3 dBi on 2.4 GHz, 4 dBi on 5 GHz) while C9115AXE-R has four RP-TNC connectors certified for external antennas up to 6 dBi. Sites whose RF plan needs directional or higher-gain antennas should order C9115AXE-R, which also draws 21.4W at 802.3at against 20.4W and weighs 2.43 lb against 1.98 lb. C9115AXI-S is the same internal-antenna body with the -S suffix, so it replaces C9115AXI-R only when the installation country maps to the S domain; the table lists no other difference between the two.

- Controller model: If C9115AXI-R joins a CW9800 controller, pick CW9800L, CW9800M, CW9800H1 or CW9800H2 and run IOS XE 17.14.1 or later (17.18.2 or later on CW9800L). CW9800L needs a higher IOS XE release than CW9800M, CW9800H1 and CW9800H2.
