STACK-T4-3M Description
The STACK-T4-3M is a Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series data stack cable for the longer links between rear stack ports in a switch stack. The copper cable is 3 m long and runs StackWise-160 at 160 Gbps between Catalyst 9200 switches or StackWise-80 at 80 Gbps between Catalyst 9200L switches, with at most two stack cables per switch. Catalyst 9200 and Catalyst 9200L members cannot be mixed in one stack, and the cable is not backward compatible with Catalyst 2960-X stacking.

Application Scenarios
A wiring closet can stack up to eight Catalyst 9200 access switches, and the cable running from the last member back to the first closes the StackWise-160 ring. With the ring closed the stack carries its full 160 Gbps; while it stays open, the stack runs at half bandwidth.
Some closets do not mount Catalyst 9200L members next to each other, and the 3 m cable joins their rear stack ports across that gap. The separated switches still operate as one StackWise-80 system with a single management and control plane.

STACK-T4-3M and STACK-T4-1M are the same Type 3 data stack cable for Catalyst 9200 and Catalyst 9200L switches and differ only in length, 3 m against 1 m. Stack ports that a 1 m run reaches take STACK-T4-1M, and members close enough for 50 cm take STACK-T4-50CM, which already ships as the default cable in C9200-STACK-KIT and C9200L-STACK-KIT. STACK-T4-3M is the longest of the three and covers stack links that neither shorter length reaches. Length does not change the stacking mode: Catalyst 9200 members run StackWise-160, Catalyst 9200L members run StackWise-80, and a stack that mixes the two is not supported with any of the three cables.

- Catalyst 9200 hosts: Catalyst 9200 modular-uplink switches such as C9200-24P-A and C9200-48P-E, stacked on StackWise-160 through the adapters in C9200-STACK-KIT.
- Catalyst 9200L hosts: Catalyst 9200L fixed-uplink switches such as C9200L-24P-4X-E and C9200L-48T-4G-A, stacked on StackWise-80 through C9200L-STACK-KIT. Catalyst 9200CX compact switches do not stack.
