Installation & Usage Tips
- Connector Requirements:
Use MPO-12 (female) connectors with PC or UPC polish. APC connectors are not supported. - Fiber Compatibility:
Use OM3 multimode fiber for up to 100m, or OM4/OM5 for up to 150m reach. - 4x10G Breakout:
Supports 4x10G breakout with the correct MPO-to-LC breakout cable and compatible SFP+ ports. - Hot-Swappable:
Module can be inserted or removed while the device is powered on. - Installation Guide:
- Wear an ESD wrist strap and ground yourself.
- Clean MPO connectors before installation.
- Insert the module gently into the QSFP+ port until locked.
- Connect the fiber patch cable securely.
- Verify link status via system diagnostics or DOM.
- Removal:
Lower the bail latch, gently pull out the module, and cover unused ports with dust caps. - Maintenance:
