QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M Description
The QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M is a Cisco 40GBASE-AOC QSFP to four SFP+ active optical breakout cable that connects one 40G QSFP port to four 10G SFP+ ports. The 10-meter cable splits 7 meters from the 40G end and has a 3.5 mm QSFP-end diameter, a 60 mm QSFP-end bend radius and a red pull tab. Each active end draws 1.5W, and the cable operates from 0 to 70 degrees C.

QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M and QSFP-4X10G-AC10M are both 10-meter QSFP to four SFP+ breakout cables with the breakout point 7 meters from the 40G end, but QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M is active optical at 3.5 mm on the QSFP end and 3 mm on the SFP+ end, while QSFP-4X10G-AC10M is active copper at 9 mm and 5 mm. Racks where thick copper bundles crowd the trays suit the optical cable, and its 60 mm QSFP-end bend radius is wider than the 50 mm of the copper cable, so the tray layout decides between them. Routes of 7 meters or less fit QSFP-4X10G-AOC7M, with the breakout point 4 meters from the 40G end. Cisco lists optical breakout cables only up to 10 meters.
