QSFP-H40G-ACU10M Description
The QSFP-H40G-ACU10M is a Cisco 40GBASE-CR4 QSFP+ active copper direct-attach cable for 40G links between neighboring cabinets in a rack row. The 10-meter cable uses 26 AWG conductors with a 9 mm QSFP-end diameter and a 50 mm bend radius, draws 1.5W at each end and operates from 0 to 70 degrees C. Active electronics are what let a copper assembly reach 10 meters, where passive 40G copper cables stop at 5 meters.

QSFP-H40G-ACU10M is one of two active copper 40GBASE-CR4 cables in this group and the longest copper option, since QSFP-H40G-ACU7M stops at 7 meters and passive QSFP-H40G-CU5M at 5 meters. Runs of 5 meters or less fit QSFP-H40G-CU5M, and runs of 7 meters or less fit QSFP-H40G-ACU7M, all three with a 9 mm QSFP-end diameter and 50 mm bend radius. Where 10 meters is needed but a thinner cable is wanted for airflow, QSFP-H40G-AOC10M is the optical cable of the same length at 3.5 mm. Runs beyond 10 meters move to QSFP-H40G-AOC15M, because Cisco lists no copper cable longer than 10 meters.

- Platforms with SFP+ ports only: Add the CVR-4SFP10G-QSFP reverse adapter, which lists QSFP-H40G-ACU10M as a supported QSFP+ module; CVR-TRAY-8 or CVR-BRKT-1 holds the adapters. A cable with QSFP+ ends has no port to plug into on a platform that offers only SFP+ ports.
