SFP-H25G-CU3M Description
The SFP-H25G-CU3M is a Cisco 25GBASE-CR1 SFP28 passive copper direct-attach cable for short 25 Gigabit Ethernet links between supported SFP28 host ports. It provides a fixed 3-meter reach with SFP28 connectors at both ends, an orange pull tab, and 0.1W maximum power consumption. The cable requires BASE-R FEC on the host ports.

SFP-H25G-CU3M is the 3-meter, orange-latch passive copper cable of this group and needs BASE-R FEC on the host ports, the same class as SFP-H25G-CU2.5M, which is 0.5 meter shorter with a yellow latch. A route longer than 3 meters moves to SFP-H25G-CU4M, but that cable changes the host requirement to RS-FEC, so both SFP28 ports must be able to run it. Where the 3-meter run should use active optical media instead of copper, SFP-25G-AOC3M has the same length and orange latch, draws 1W against 0.1W, and accepts either BASE-R FEC or RS-FEC.

- Catalyst 9200L fixed 25G uplinks: Confirm the switch is a Catalyst 9200L model with 2x25G SFP28 uplink ports. Only the 25G uplink variants have SFP28 ports; the 4x1G and 4x10G uplink models take 1G SFP or 10G SFP+ modules.
- Catalyst 9200 25G uplink module: Add C9200-NM-2Y (2x25G) in C9200-24PXG or C9200-48PXG. C9200-NM-2Y is supported only on those two C9200 models.
- Catalyst 9300 25G uplink module: Add C9300-NM-2Y (2x25GE SFP28 slots) in a modular-uplink Catalyst 9300 switch. The 25G SFP28 slots sit on this uplink module, not on the 1G, 10G or 40G modules.
