SFP-25G-AOC7M Description
The SFP-25G-AOC7M is a Cisco 25GBASE-AOC SFP28 active optical cable for 25G Ethernet links of up to 7 m between SFP28 ports, including runs that cross several racks in a row. The cable has a blue pull tab, 1W maximum power consumption and commercial 0 to 70°C operation. Host ports must run BASE-R FEC or RS-FEC for the link to operate.

SFP-25G-AOC7M is the 7 m active optical cable of this group, 2 m longer than SFP-25G-AOC5M and 3 m shorter than SFP-25G-AOC10M, all three with the same SFP28 ends, 25 Gigabit Ethernet rate, 1W maximum power and BASE-R FEC or RS-FEC host requirement. Paths of 5 m or less can use SFP-25G-AOC5M, and paths beyond 7 m move to SFP-25G-AOC10M. SFP-H25G-CU5M is a 5 m passive copper cable drawing 0.1W instead of 1W, and its host port must run RS-FEC. Where the link must stay optical over 7 m, SFP-25G-AOC7M is the shortest option.
