SFP-25G-AOC10M Description
The SFP-25G-AOC10M is a Cisco 25GBASE-AOC SFP28 active optical cable for 25 Gigabit Ethernet links between SFP28 host ports up to 10 m apart. The assembly has SFP28 connectors at both ends, a red pull tab, a 0 to 70°C commercial operating range and a maximum power draw of 1W. The host ports at both ends must run BASE-R FEC or RS-FEC.

SFP-25G-AOC10M is the red-tab 10-meter 25G SFP28 active optical cable, and SFP-25G-AOC7M is the same cable type at 7 meters with a blue tab, so the measured route length is the only thing that separates them. Routes that fit within 7 meters can use SFP-25G-AOC7M, while longer runs up to 10 meters need SFP-25G-AOC10M. SFP-H25G-CU5M is the passive copper alternative at 5 meters: it draws 0.1W against 1W for the two AOCs, but it needs RS-FEC on the host port, where either AOC works with BASE-R FEC or RS-FEC. Copper SFP-H25G-CU5M suits only runs of 5 meters or less.
