The Cisco DS-SFP-FC16G-SW is a 16 Gbps Fibre Channel Shortwave SFP+ transceiver designed for Cisco MDS 9000 Series platforms. Supporting backward compatibility with 4 Gbps and 8 Gbps Fibre Channel speeds, it offers exceptional flexibility for storage networking environments.This hot-swappable module uses an 850 nm wavelength and operates over multimode fiber (MMF), with link distances up to 400 meters on OM4 fiber. With digital optical monitoring (DOM) support, the transceiver enables real-time monitoring of optical parameters, providing simplified troubleshooting and improved operational efficiency.
Engineered to meet stringent Fibre Channel standards, the DS-SFP-FC16G-SW ensures reliable high-speed connectivity for SAN deployments, delivering optimized performance for mission-critical enterprise storage and data center applications.
