SFP-10G-AOC7M Description
The SFP-10G-AOC7M is a Cisco 10GBASE-AOC SFP+ active optical cable assembly for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links between SFP+ host ports. The cable is 7 meters long with a blue bail latch, draws 1W at most and operates from 0 to 70 degrees C. The assembly only fits SFP+ ports, so Catalyst 1300 models without SFP+ cages cannot use it.

SFP-10G-AOC7M is the 7-meter, blue-latch active optical cable, sitting between the 5-meter, gray-latch SFP-10G-AOC5M and the 10-meter, red-latch SFP-10G-AOC10M; all three draw 1W. Runs of 5 meters or less fit SFP-10G-AOC5M, and runs longer than 7 meters move to SFP-10G-AOC10M. For a 7-meter link on copper, SFP-H10GB-ACU7M is an active twinax cable with the same blue latch and the same 1W maximum draw, so power does not separate it from SFP-10G-AOC7M; the medium does, copper against optical.
