SFP-10G-ER (also known as Cisco 10GBASE-ER SFP+, 10G ER SFP, or SFP+ ER) is a full-featured 10 Gigabit SFP+ optical transceiver designed for long-distance, high-performance Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) applications. This module supports 10Gbps transmission over single-mode fiber up to 40 kilometers at a 1550nm wavelength. With FCoE support, Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM), and hot-swappable capability, SFP-10G-ER is an ideal solution for enterprise backbone, metro, and carrier networks that require robust and flexible 10G optical connectivity.
