SFP-10G-SR-X Description
The SFP-10G-SR-X is a Cisco extended-temperature multirate 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver for short 10G links over multimode fiber at sites that exceed commercial temperature limits. The module reaches 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 or OM5 at 850 nm, operates from -5 to 85°C and draws up to 1W. The module carries 10GBASE-SR, 10GBASE-SW and OTU2e signals over multimode fiber only.

SFP-10G-SR-X is the extended-temperature multirate version of the 850 nm SR optic: it adds 10GBASE-SW and OTU2e support and a -5 to 85 degrees C rating, while SFP-10G-SR supports 10GBASE-SR only at the commercial range, with the same 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 or OM5. Ethernet-only links in commercial-temperature locations can use SFP-10G-SR. SFP-10G-SR-S is the S-Class listing and carries Cisco’s no-FCoE note, so FCoE links need SFP-10G-SR-X or SFP-10G-SR. Sites that need an industrial temperature class or CPRI options move to SFP-10G-SR-I.
