SFP-10G-AOC2M Description
The SFP-10G-AOC2M is a Cisco 10GBASE-AOC SFP+ active optical cable for short 10 Gigabit Ethernet links of 2 meters between SFP+ host ports. The cable terminates in SFP+ connectors at both ends, draws a maximum of 1W and operates from 0 to 70°C, and its brown bail latches mark the 2-meter length. In a 40G QSFP+ port on a UCS 6332, 10G SFP+ cables work only through a CVR-QSFP-SFP10G QSA module.

A route that stretches past 2 meters needs SFP-10G-AOC3M, and a shorter one fits SFP-10G-AOC1M. Passive twinax copper at the same 2-meter length is SFP-H10GB-CU2M, which draws 0.1W against 1W for the optical cable; choose it when the link is copper rather than optical.
