QSFP-100G-CU3M Description
The QSFP-100G-CU3M is a Cisco 100GBASE-CR4 QSFP passive copper cable for 100G links inside a rack or between adjacent racks. The 3-meter cable draws 1.5W per end, has a 7 mm cable diameter and a 50 mm bend radius, and carries an orange pull tab. The cable is passive, with no optics, so its reach is set by copper and the commercial operating range of 0 to 70°C.

QSFP-100G-CU3M and QSFP-100G-CU2M are both 100GBASE-CR4 passive copper cables with a 7 mm diameter and 50 mm bend radius at 1.5W per end, and differ in length (3 m against 2 m) and pull tab color (orange against brown). A 1 m run fits QSFP-100G-CU1M (beige tab) and a 2 m run fits QSFP-100G-CU2M. A run of 3 m to 5 m needs QSFP-100G-CU5M, which has a gray tab and a thicker 9 mm diameter with 70 mm bend radius. Passive copper ends at 5 m in this family, so a longer run moves to an active optical cable such as QSFP-100G-AOC7M, and a 100G port feeding four 25G ports needs a QSFP-4SFP25G-CU3M breakout cable.
