QSFP-100G-AOC3M Description
The QSFP-100G-AOC3M is a Cisco 100G QSFP active optical cable for short links between two QSFP ports in the same rack or in adjacent racks. The 3-meter assembly draws 3.5W per end, has a 3.5 mm cable diameter and a 30 mm bend radius, and carries an orange pull tab. The cable is a single assembly with a QSFP connector on each end, rated for 0 to 70°C commercial operation.

QSFP-100G-AOC3M is the 3 m orange-tab member of this active optical cable group, and QSFP-100G-AOC2M, QSFP-100G-AOC5M and QSFP-100G-AOC7M differ from it only in fixed length and pull tab color (brown, gray and blue), because all four draw 3.5W per end with a 3.5 mm diameter and 30 mm bend radius. A route of 2 m or less fits QSFP-100G-AOC2M, a 5 m route needs QSFP-100G-AOC5M, and a 7 m route needs QSFP-100G-AOC7M, since each cable has a fixed length. Where passive copper is acceptable at the same 3 m, QSFP-100G-CU3M draws 1.5W per end but is thicker, at 7 mm diameter and 50 mm bend radius.
