C9610-LC-32CD Description
The C9610-LC-32CD is a Cisco C9610 Series Smart Switches combo line card for C9610R chassis that need 100G aggregation with 400G uplink options. The card has 30 QSFP28 ports at 100G or 40G and 2 QSFP-DD ports at 400G, 100G or 40G (200G is hardware-ready and depends on optic availability), with 6.4 Tbps per slot and 495 W of AC input power. The card installs directly in line-card slots 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and needs Cisco IOS XE 17.18.1 or later.

Application Scenarios
In a modular C9610R core, the line card connects distribution switches and aggregation blocks over up to 30 QSFP28 ports at 100G or 40G.
At the boundary between a campus core and a data center, one or two QSFP-DD ports can run 400G toward the spine while the remaining ports stay at 100G in the 28 x 100G plus 1 x 400G or 24 x 100G plus 2 x 400G mode.

C9610-LC-32CD is the QSFP28 card of the native C9610 pair, with thirty 100G/40G QSFP28 ports and two QSFP-DD ports, while C9610-LC-40YL4CD has forty SFP56 ports at 50G, 25G, 10G and 1G plus two QSFP56 and two QSFP-DD uplinks. Designs whose downlinks are 50G, 25G or 10G move to C9610-LC-40YL4CD, which also draws less, 466 W AC input against 495 W. C9600X-LC-32CD has the same port layout and the same 495 W, but a C9610R accepts it only through C9610-LC-ADPT, so it suits reuse of an installed Catalyst 9600X card rather than a new build. All three cards run with C9610-SUP-3 and C9610-SUP-3XL.
