The C9400-PWR-3200DC is a Cisco Catalyst 9400 Series 3200W DC power supply module for Catalyst 9400 chassis at sites fed by DC power. It takes -40 to -72 VDC, extended to -75 VDC, at 36 A nominal per DC input, and delivers 3190 W at 55 VDC plus 10 W of 3.3 VDC auxiliary power for a 3200 W total. It can share a chassis with a 3200W AC supply in combined or N+1 mode only when the installed supplies have equal capacity and the AC inputs run at 220 VAC.

In a telecom equipment room with a -48 VDC plant, the module powers a Catalyst 9400 chassis directly from the DC feed through its two isolated DC inputs, so no AC conversion stage is needed.
A Catalyst 9407R or C9410R core chassis can fill its power bays with 3200W DC supplies and run them in redundant mode, so one supply can fail or be serviced while the 55 VDC rail stays up for the PoE line cards.

C9400-PWR-3200DC is the DC-input supply of this group: it takes -40 to -72 VDC, extended to -75 VDC, and delivers a 3190 W main output at 55 VDC (3200 W total with the 10 W auxiliary output), while C9400-PWR-3200AC delivers the same 3190 W main output only from a 180 to 264 VAC feed, so a closet powered from AC mains orders C9400-PWR-3200AC instead. C9400-PWR-3200ACT has the same AC input range and output as C9400-PWR-3200AC and is the Titanium 3200W option for AC sites that specify it. A chassis with a lighter PoE load can use C9400-PWR-2100AC, which reaches a 2102 W main output (2112 W total with the 10 W auxiliary output) at 200-240 VAC, and anything heavier needs a 3200W model. Cisco allows C9400-PWR-3200DC to share a chassis with C9400-PWR-3200AC or C9400-PWR-3200ACT in combined or N+1 mode, provided the installed supplies have equal capacity and the AC inputs run at 220 VAC.
