Cisco GLC-LH-SMD is a 1000BASE-LX/LH Gigabit SFP transceiver operating at 1310 nm wavelength. It supports up to 10 km transmission over single-mode fiber and up to 550 m over multimode fiber (with a mode-conditioning patch cord on legacy MMF). With Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) and extended temperature tolerance (-5°C to 85°C), it ensures reliable uplinks in enterprise, data center, and service provider networks. Also referred to as “1G LX SFP” or “Cisco 1310 nm SFP,” it provides a cost-effective and flexible solution for Gigabit Ethernet expansion across Cisco switches and routers.
