The CP-7811-K9 is a Cisco IP Phone 7811 single-line desk phone in the Cisco IP Phone 7800 Series for common-area and occasional-use positions on Cisco Unified Communications Manager. The phone has a 3.28 in. 384 x 106 pixel grayscale display, a 10/100BASE-T switch with two RJ-45 ports and IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE at no more than 3.84W. The phone needs a Basic User Connect License on Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.5 or later, and its default handset is narrowband, with wideband audio only through an optional handset.

Application Scenarios
In a lobby, cafeteria or conference-center corridor, the phone gives visitors and staff a single-line extension on Cisco Unified Communications Manager without programmable line keys to manage.
In a hallway or work area with little desk space, the phone mounts on the wall with the optional wall-mount kit and still passes a 10/100BASE-T connection to a downstream device.
On a floor with many phone drops, each phone draws no more than 3.84W as an IEEE 802.3af Class 1 device, which keeps the switch’s PoE budget available for other endpoints.

CP-7811-K9 is the entry model of the 7800 Series, listed with 0 line keys in the table against 2 on CP-7821-K9, and it ships with a narrowband handset and a 3.28 in. 384 x 106 display, while CP-7821-K9 adds a 396 x 162 backlit grayscale display, a wideband handset by default and a white color option. Both need only a Basic User Connect License and run on 10/100BASE-T. Desks that need four lines or Gigabit Ethernet move to CP-7841-K9, the only 7800 model with 10/100/1000BASE-T, which also needs an Enhanced User Connect License. For sixteen lines, order CP-7861-K9 at the same Enhanced license level.
Ordering Checklist
- User Connect License: Order one Basic UCL per phone on Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.5 or later. An Enhanced UCL is unnecessary for this model, and no UCL leaves the phone unlicensed.
- Non-PoE power: Add Cisco Power Adapter 3 in the regional PID, for example CP-PWR-ADPT-3-NA= or CP-PWR-ADPT-3S-UK=, with the matching regional cord. The phone is 802.3af Class 1 PoE; without PoE it has no power source.
- Wideband handset: Add CP-DX-HS= if wideband audio is needed. The phone ships with a narrowband default handset on CP-7811-K9.
- Mounting: Add CP-7811-WMK= wall mount or CP-7811-FS= footstand if required. Both are separate 7811-specific PIDs.
