The CP-8821-K9 is a Cisco Wireless IP Phone 8821 handset for mobile voice users on Wi-Fi networks in warehouses, retail floors and healthcare spaces. The handset runs IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac with six lines, a 2.4-inch 240 x 320 color display, IP54 protection and up to 11.5 hours of talk time on a 2060 mAh battery. The handset carries no hazardous-location listing, and the battery and power adapter come separately.

CP-8821-K9 is the standard Cisco Wireless IP Phone 8821 handset with a 2.4-inch 240 x 320 display and IP54, and it differs from CP-8821-EX-K9= by hazardous-location listing: the EX handset carries CSA Class I Division 2 and Class I Zone 2 support and IP67 in ordinary locations, so any classified area needs CP-8821-EX-K9=. Because CP-8821-K9 ships without battery or power, CP-8821-K9-BUN, which adds the battery, cord, adapter and country clip, is the simpler order for a first deployment. Users who need a 5-inch 800 x 480 screen instead of the 2.4-inch display need CP-8861-K9, a desk phone with integrated Wi-Fi.
Ordering Checklist
- Battery: Add CP-BATT-8821=, because CP-8821-K9= is the handset only. The handset cannot run without a battery.
- Power kit: Add a CP-PWR-8821 kit for the destination, such as -NA=, -CE= or -UK=. The handset-only SKU has no charger or country clip.
