CP-8865NR-K9 Description
The CP-8865NR-K9 is a Cisco IP Phone 8865NR no-radio video desk phone in the 8800 Series for desks where site policy bars Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The phone has five line keys in Session Line Mode or up to 10 in Enhanced Line Mode, a 5 in. 800 x 480 color display, 720p HD video, two USB ports and an internal 2-port Gigabit Ethernet switch. The phone has no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi radio and connects only over wired Ethernet.

Application Scenarios
In an office where policy excludes endpoint radios, the phone carries 720p HD video calls over wired Ethernet with no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi radio present.
At an attendant or shared-line desk, Enhanced Line Mode offers up to 10 line keys, and up to three key expansion modules extend the key count further.
Where one access-switch drop serves the phone and a co-located PC, the internal 2-port Gigabit Ethernet switch passes the PC connection through the phone.

CP-8865NR-K9 and CP-8865-K9 differ in radios: CP-8865NR-K9 has no Bluetooth and no Wi-Fi, while CP-8865-K9 includes 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. Desks that need a Bluetooth headset or a wireless connection move to CP-8865-K9, or to CP-8865-W-K9 when a white finish is wanted. CP-8865NR-K9 offers 5 line keys, or up to 10 in Enhanced Line Mode, against 5 on the other two. All three phones take up to three key expansion modules, and two or three modules need 802.3at PoE or a CP-PWR-CUBE-4 power cube.
Ordering Checklist
- Power source: Use IEEE 802.3at or UPOE PoE, or CP-PWR-CUBE-4 with a country cord. A desk without PoE has no power, and the cube is not powered without its country cord.
- Key expansion module PID: The 8865NR data sheet lists CP-BEKEM= (Charcoal); the 8865 and expansion module data sheets list CP-8800-V-KEM=. The documents write different PIDs for the module and do not say they are interchangeable.
- Module count and power: Up to three modules are supported; with two or three use 802.3at or a power cube. The rear USB fast charge is lost on 802.3at with two or three modules unless the port is UPOE.
- Wall mount: Order CP-8800-VID-WMK= for the video phone. Wall placement needs the video mount on the order.
