CP-8832-NR-K9 Description
The CP-8832-NR-K9 is a Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 No-Radio (NR) charcoal base for Cisco Unified Communications Manager meeting rooms. The phone has a 480 x 128 color LCD, 10/100BASE-T through an Ethernet injector, IEEE PoE Class 3 power and native support in Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.0(1). The NR version has no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or wireless microphone support, and it is the version required in China, Taiwan, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines and Thailand.

Application Scenarios
A branch office in India, Brazil or Thailand places the phone in a meeting room where only the no-radio 8832 is permitted. The phone registers to the local Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster over wired Ethernet.
A boardroom with a fixed network drop at the table runs the phone through the Ethernet injector on PoE Class 3. The wired microphone kit extends pickup from 10 to 22 participants.
Two NR bases in a divisible room join through the daisy-chain kit for wider pickup. The chain supports only two phones and runs without PoE.

CP-8832-NR-K9 is the no-radio charcoal 8832 base, while CP-8832-K9 is the radio-capable charcoal base for North America, so the NR model does not support Wi-Fi or the wireless microphone kits. Cisco requires the NR model in China, Taiwan, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines and Thailand. CP-8832-W-K9 is the white North America base, and CP-8832-EU-K9 is the charcoal base for APAC, EMEA, Australia and New Zealand. Rooms that need wireless microphones or Wi-Fi move to CP-8832-K9 or CP-8832-W-K9, while added pickup on CP-8832-NR-K9 comes from CP-8832-MIC-WIRED=, which extends 20 x 20 ft and 10 people to 20 x 34 ft and 22 people.
Ordering Checklist
- Power option: Select one of CP-8832-POE=, CP-8832-ETH= or CP-8832-PWR= for the included adapter slot. The base includes one adapter option, and a non-PoE room needs the Ethernet injector.
- Microphone kit: Add CP-8832-MIC-WIRED= if extra pickup is needed. Wired and wireless kits are separate PIDs and cannot be mixed.
- Daisy-chain kit: Order CP-8832-DC= to connect two phones without PoE. Daisy chain supports only two 8832 phones and does not support PoE.
