CP-8841-K9 Description
The CP-8841-K9 is a Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series desk phone for office desks that share one network drop with a PC. The phone has five line keys, a 5-inch 800 x 480 color display and a two-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, and it draws IEEE PoE Class 2 power. The phone does not support Key Expansion Modules, and it needs an Enhanced User Connect License to register to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

At an office desk with a single cable run, the phone passes traffic for a co-located PC through its internal Gigabit Ethernet switch, so one access-switch port serves both devices.
Staff desks in a Cisco Unified Communications Manager deployment get a 5-inch 800 x 480 color display and five programmable line and feature keys for everyday call handling.
Where a desk drop comes from a switch without PoE, the phone runs from a Cisco IP Phone Power Cube 4 fitted with the country-specific AC cord.

CP-8841-K9 and CP-8811-K9 share five line keys, an 800 x 480 display, a gigabit switch and PoE Class 2, but CP-8841-K9 has a 24-bit color WVGA screen where CP-8811-K9 is grayscale, so the grayscale phone suits desks that only need voice. CP-8841-W-K9 is the white version of CP-8841-K9 with the same specifications, so that choice is shell color only. Neither CP-8841-K9 nor CP-8811-K9 supports a Key Expansion Module; a desk that needs extra line keys moves to CP-8851-K9, which takes up to two KEMs and expands 5 line keys to 61 or 66. A desk that needs 720p video moves to CP-8845-K9.
Ordering Checklist
- Unified CM license: Add an Enhanced User Connect License for each CP-8841-K9 registering to Cisco UCM. Without it the phone cannot be added to Cisco UCM.
- Power source: Use PoE Class 2 from the switch, or CP-PWR-CUBE-4= (CP-PWR-CUBE-4-S= with switch) plus one cord from CP-PWR-CORD-{AP,AR,AU,BZ,CE,CN,JP,NA,SW,UK}=. A non-PoE desk has no power, and Power Cube 4 ships without a country cord.
- Wall mount, stand and bezel: Add CP-8800-WMK= for wall mounting, CP-8800-FS= for the foot stand, and CP-8800-B-BEZEL= (black) or CP-8800-S-BEZEL= (silver). These are separate spare-part PIDs and are not added by the phone order.
