CP-8832-K9 Description
The CP-8832-K9 is a Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 charcoal base for North American medium to large meeting rooms that register to Cisco Unified Communications Manager. The phone covers a 20 x 20 ft room with up to 10 participants, has a 480 x 128 pixel color LCD and connects over 10/100BASE-T through an Ethernet injector with IEEE PoE Class 3. The radio in this base supports Wi-Fi and wireless microphones, and a Wi-Fi room must use the Power Adapter.

Application Scenarios
A 20 x 20 ft room seating up to 10 people uses the phone on the table with 360-degree pickup. The phone registers natively to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.0(1) and later.
A huddle or project room without a wired drop at the table runs the phone on Wi-Fi with the Power Adapter. The radio in this base also supports the wireless microphone kits.
A long boardroom links two 8832 bases with the daisy-chain kit and wireless microphones to cover up to 20 x 57 ft. The two phones act as one conference endpoint.

CP-8832-K9 is the radio-capable charcoal 8832 base for North America, while CP-8832-NR-K9 is the same charcoal base without the radio, so it cannot use Wi-Fi or the wireless microphone kits. Cisco requires the NR model in China, Taiwan, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines and Thailand. CP-8832-W-K9 differs only in its white color. The wired kit CP-8832-MIC-WIRED= fits any of the three and lifts coverage from 20 x 20 ft and 10 people to 20 x 34 ft and 22 people. Wireless kits such as CP-8832-MIC-WLS= apply only to CP-8832-K9 and CP-8832-W-K9, and wired and wireless kits cannot be mixed.
Ordering Checklist
- Power option: Select one of CP-8832-POE=, CP-8832-ETH= or CP-8832-PWR=; a Wi-Fi deployment must use the Power Adapter. The base includes one adapter option, and a wrong choice leaves a Wi-Fi room without a valid power path.
- Microphone kit: Order CP-8832-MIC-WIRED= or the CP-8832-MIC-WLS= family, not both. Wired and wireless microphones cannot be mixed on one phone.
- Daisy-chain kit: Order CP-8832-DC= (or CP-8832-DC-EU=, CP-8832-DC-AUNZ=) with two 8832 phones. Daisy chain supports only two phones and does not support PoE.
