The CP-7832-K9 is a Cisco IP Conference Phone 7832 in Cisco Smoke for executive offices and small meeting rooms with up to six participants. The phone has four microphones with 360-degree coverage and pickup of no less than 2.1 m, a 3.4 in. 384 x 128 monochrome backlit display, 10/100BASE-T Ethernet and IEEE 802.3af PoE Class 2. The phone supports a single line with multiple calls per line and requires an Enhanced User Connect License on Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.5 and later.

Application Scenarios
In an executive office with a small meeting table, the four microphones hear speakers from every side of the phone, so a call with several people does not need a headset.
A huddle room for up to six participants runs its audio calls through the phone’s single line, which can hold multiple calls at once, with a 3.4 in. display for call status.
A meeting room served by a switch without PoE can power the phone from Cisco Power Adapter 3 through a power splitter cable, while rooms with IEEE 802.3af switch ports power it directly at Class 2.

CP-7832-K9 and CP-7832-W-K9 are the same conference phone, with the same 3.4 in. 384 x 128 display, 10/100BASE-T Ethernet and IEEE 802.3af Class 2 PoE; the only difference is color, Cisco Smoke on CP-7832-K9 against Cisco White on CP-7832-W-K9. Both need Enhanced User Connect License on CUCM 12.5 and later, so the license plan does not decide between them. CP-8832-K9 is listed in the table with a 3.9 in. 480 x 128 pixel color LCD and IEEE PoE Class 3, so a room that needs a color display or a Class 3 switch port should look at CP-8832-K9 instead of either 7832 phone.
Ordering Checklist
- Power for non-PoE ports: Add CP-7832-PWR-SPL= together with Cisco Power Adapter 3 in the regional PID (for example CP-PWR-ADPT-3-NA=, CP-PWR-ADPT-3S-EU= or CP-PWR-ADPT-3S-UK=). The phone is IEEE 802.3af Class 2 PoE powered, and a switch without PoE needs the splitter cable and adapter.
- CUCM license: Order the Enhanced User Connect License for CUCM 12.5 and later. A Basic UCL plan does not cover this phone.
