CP-7861-K9 Description
The CP-7861-K9 is a Cisco IP Phone 7861 desk phone in the 7800 Series for operator and manager positions that need many lines on one phone. The phone has 16 lines, a 3.5 in. 396 x 162 pixel grayscale display, 10/100BASE-T Ethernet on two RJ-45 ports and IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE, in a body of 207 x 265 x 28 mm. The phone requires an Enhanced User Connect License on Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.5 and later and uses SIP signaling only.

Application Scenarios
A switchboard or dispatch operator can assign the sixteen programmable keys to separate extensions and answer each one directly from the phone.
A manager who covers the numbers of a whole team can put those lines and speed dials on the keys, with multiple calls per line handled on the same phone.
In offices cabled for 10/100BASE-T, the second RJ-45 port connects the user’s PC through the phone, so a single switch port serves both devices.

CP-7861-K9 offers sixteen line keys against four on CP-7841-K9 and two on CP-7821-K9, and its body is longer at 207 x 265 x 28 mm and 1053 g against 207 x 206 x 28 mm. It stays on 10/100BASE-T Ethernet, so a desk whose PC needs Gigabit through the phone must use CP-7841-K9, which has four lines. CP-7861-K9 and CP-7841-K9 both need Enhanced User Connect License; a deployment licensed for Basic UCL fits CP-7821-K9 with two lines. All three use IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE.
Ordering Checklist
- CUCM license: Order the Enhanced User Connect License for CUCM 12.5 and later. A Basic UCL plan covers only the 7811 and 7821.
- Power for non-PoE ports: Add Cisco Power Adapter 3 in the regional PID for the destination (for example CP-PWR-ADPT-3-NA=, CP-PWR-ADPT-3S-EU= or CP-PWR-ADPT-3S-UK=) plus the matching CP-PWR-CORD-xx= power cord. Without 802.3af PoE the phone has no power source, and the adapter is a regional PID.
- Wall mount and foot stand: Order CP-7861-WMK= for wall mounting and CP-7861-FS= for a spare foot stand; the 7861 does not use CP-7800-WMK= or CP-7800-FS=. The 7861 body is longer, and kits for the other 7800 Series models do not fit it.
