CS-CAM-PTZ4K Description
The CS-CAM-PTZ4K is the Cisco PTZ 4K Camera sold as a spare unit at compliance model EVI-X200C, the long-reach optic in the Cisco collaboration camera range. It resolves 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps or 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps behind an f/2.0 to f/3.8 lens with a 70-degree horizontal field of view, and its defining number is reach rather than width: 20x optical zoom compounds with 12x digital to a 240x total, four times the 60x that Cisco publishes for the Room Vision PTZ. A motorised head pans plus or minus 170 degrees and tilts from -20 to +90 degrees for manual control and stored presets, focus runs from 1.0 metre to infinity at the wide end, and focus, white balance and brightness each switch between manual and automatic. Video leaves over HDMI 2.0 while control arrives separately as Visca over IP on the LAN port, and the camera supports PresenterTrack with digital cropping when paired to a compatible codec. A 20x optical stage compounding with 12x digital to 240x total reaches four times further than the Room Vision PTZ’s 60x, at the cost of a 70-degree horizontal field of view against that camera’s 80.5 degrees.
Video leaves the camera over HDMI 2.0 while pan, tilt, zoom and preset commands arrive as Visca over IP on the LAN port, so the control network and the video run are cabled independently.
PresenterTrack support lets the camera follow a moving presenter within a configured zone using digital cropping rather than continuous mechanical movement.
Focus, white balance and brightness each run either automatically or under manual control, which matters in rooms with fixed stage lighting or mixed colour temperature.
The camera runs from 12V at 3A on 100 to 120 or 200 to 240 VAC mains, or from PoE+ under IEEE 802.3at, so the mounting position can be chosen before the power strategy is settled.

CS-CAM-PTZ4K is the spare part number for the Cisco PTZ 4K Camera at compliance model EVI-X200C, and it is also the camera fitted in the CS-KIT-EQ-4K-K9 Room Kit EQ PTZ 4K bundle, so ordering both the bundle and this PID delivers two cameras rather than a bundle with a spare lens. The decision against the Cisco Room Vision PTZ is a genuine trade: the PTZ 4K reaches 240x total zoom through a 20x optical stage but sees only 70 degrees horizontally, while the Room Vision PTZ opens to 80.5 degrees with a faster f/1.8 to f/3.6 lens and adds RTSP streaming and video over IP, at 60x total zoom. Control method differs too, Visca over IP here against plain IP on the Room Vision PTZ.
