CS-DESK-K9 Description
The CS-DESK-K9 is the Cisco Desk in First Light at compliance model TTC7-30, a 24-inch all-in-one personal video endpoint that arrives with its own stand, power supply, a 3-metre network cable and a 1.8-metre USB-C cable. The USB-C cable is the point: over one connection the Desk becomes the laptop's primary display at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps while handing back its camera, microphone array and speakers to whatever meeting client is running, and adds touch redirect so the panel drives the connected PC. That is what separates it from a monitor with a webcam clipped on. The 1080p high-contrast VA LED panel holds a 1000:1 typical contrast ratio, plus or minus 89-degree viewing angles, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 72 percent NTSC colour gamut under projected capacitive multi-touch. Imaging comes from an 8 MP sensor on a 1/3.2-inch CMOS at up to 30 fps behind an f/2.0 lens covering 64 degrees horizontally and 50 vertically, focusing from 10 centimetres to infinity, with automatic tilt adjustment and a privacy shutter carrying its own LED. A dynamic four-microphone array with focused pickup and AI noise removal pairs with a full-range centre speaker and passive bass radiators covering 80 Hz to 20 kHz. Rated power is 70W maximum with networked standby at 7.5W.

Key Features
A single USB-C connection extends the computer’s desktop at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps while passing the camera, microphone and speakers back to any software client, so one cable replaces the monitor lead, the webcam and the headset.
On supported operating systems the panel forwards touch input to the attached computer, so the display is an input device rather than only an output.
The camera carries a mechanical privacy shutter paired with an LED light, giving a visible state that does not depend on software.
A dynamic four-microphone array runs focused pickup, AI-powered noise removal, automatic gain control, active lip synchronization and a dedicated music mode.
With the MultiSite option the device hosts four-way embedded SIP and H.323 conferencing, running three-way at up to 1080p30 or four-way at up to 720p30 with full individual audio and video transcoding.
The device drops to Halfwake after two minutes idle, to DisplayOff standby after ten minutes and to networked standby after twelve, holding 7.5W maximum at the networked level.

Selection Guide
1. Order Variant Follows Radio And Sourcing Policy, Not Capability
CS-DESK-K9 is the First Light Cisco Desk and CS-DESK-C-K9 the Carbon Black version, both at compliance model TTC7-30. Sites that prohibit wireless take CS-DESK-NR-K9, US Government orders take CS-DESK-K9++ or CS-DESK-NR-K9++, deployments that also bar encryption take CS-DESK-NR-K7, and Made in Mexico sourcing is CS-DESK-MM-K9 or CS-DESK-MM-NR-K9. Every one of those carries the same panel, camera and audio hardware.
2. Four-Way Conferencing Is A Licence, Not A Default
Embedded multipoint needs the MultiSite option ordered as LIC-DESK-MS. Without it the device does not host the four-way SIP and H.323 conference described in the specification.
3. What Ships In The Box Already Covers The Basics
The default carton contains the Desk Stand, a 3-metre network cable, a 1.8-metre USB-C cable and the power supply, so those are already covered by the base part number. The replaceable metal speaker grille, the stylus kit CS-DESK-STYLUSKIT= and the wall mount are the optional hardware, and CAB-ETH-3M-GR= is the spare Ethernet cable.
4. Software And Environment Set The Deployment Floor
The device requires RoomOS 11 or later and operates between 0 and 35 degrees C at 20 to 90 percent relative humidity. Temperature and humidity sensors report into Control Hub analytics but are marked experimental by Cisco, so they should not be relied on for facilities monitoring.
