CS-DESKMINI-K9 Description
The CS-DESKMINI-K9 is a Cisco Desk Mini personal collaboration endpoint in First Light gray for individual desks and shared touchdown positions. The endpoint has a 15.6-inch 1080p touch display, an 8MP camera with a 64-degree horizontal field of view, a 3-element microphone system and one 10/100/1000 Ethernet port, and it is rated at 60W maximum. One USB-C cable carries display extension at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, touch redirect and device passthrough, while embedded multipoint conferencing needs the MultiSite software option.

Product Performance
Key Features
The display and camera sit at a 7.9-inch height on a fixed 11-degree tilt, so the outgoing picture is taken at eye level and not from desk height.
Dual 80mm force-cancelling woofers and an 18mm tweeter cover 65 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 92 dB, so a small desk unit reaches low frequencies without shaking the desk surface.
The 3-element microphone system estimates the speaker’s angle, and focused pickup with de-reverberation keeps speech clear in an open-plan position.
USB-C carries display extension at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, touch redirect and camera, microphone and speaker passthrough, so one cable makes the laptop’s monitor and conferencing hardware.
The camera shutter has a front LED that signals incoming calls and camera activation, which gives a visible hardware privacy state.
The unit is rated at 60W maximum but draws 7.5W in networked standby and 0.3W powered off, so it can stay connected at every desk.
Application Scenarios
At an assigned desk, one user takes scheduled video calls from a dedicated endpoint while the 15.6-inch panel doubles as a secondary work display.
Staff at shared touchdown positions connect a personal laptop over USB-C and run the display, camera and audio from their own client.
A home office with limited desk space can hold the endpoint, whose 14.6 by 16.25 inch footprint is far smaller than a room system.

CS-DESKMINI-K9 is the First Light gray Desk Mini and CS-DESKMINI-C-K9 is the same hardware in Carbon Black, with the same 15.6-inch 1080p display, 8MP camera, 60W rating and compliance model TTC9-01, so only finish separates them and each keeps its own spare, CS-DESKMINI-K9= or CS-DESKMINI-C-K9=. Sites that bar on-board wireless should order CS-DESKMINI-NR-K9, which removes the radio and leaves the display, camera and audio unchanged; it is offered only in First Light gray. Embedded multipoint conferencing needs the LIC-DESK-MS software option on any of the three.
Ordering Checklist
- MultiSite license: Add LIC-DESK-MS, the embedded multipoint option for Desk and Desk Mini. Multipoint hosting comes from this software line, not from the hardware PID.
- Ethernet cable: Add CAB-ETH-3M-GR=, the 3 meter grey Ethernet cable. The box holds the unit, a USB-C cable and a power cable, so a wired desk has no network lead without this line.
- Stylus kit: Add CS-DESK-STYLUSKIT=, which holds 2 styluses and 4 tips. The stylus is an optional component and does not ship in the box.
- Spare for this finish: Order CS-DESKMINI-K9= for the First Light gray unit. Each finish has its own spare PID, so the other finish’s spare does not match the installed color.
