CS-KIT-EQ-K9 Description
The CS-KIT-EQ-K9 is a Cisco Room Kit EQ collaboration bundle in the First Light finish for large conference rooms and boardrooms. The bundle pairs a Codec EQ with a Quad Camera of four 20MP sensors, drives three HDMI displays at 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps and shares a 90W budget across four PoE++ ports. Native registration to Cisco Unified Communications Manager needs version 12.5 or later with the Room Kit EQ device pack.

Key Features
Four CMOS sensors of up to 20MP each switch under machine intelligence into a single 1080p output. Group framing and speaker tracking run without a motorised head.
Framing can be limited to a defined area of the room. People walking past a glass wall or an open-plan edge stay out of the picture.
An 83-degree wide lens and three 50-degree tele-lenses give 7x zoom, built from 5x native optical zoom plus digital enhancement. The camera bar measures 37.4 inches wide.
The four 802.3bt ports share 90W, which powers and controls the camera, the Room Navigator and AV over IP peripherals from one cable each.
Up to eight Cisco IP microphones attach over the PoE++ ports. Third-party audio systems connect over AES67 once the AV Integrator License is installed.
A single USB-C cable passes the camera, microphone and speakers through to a connected laptop. The same cable carries content sharing into the room.
Application Scenarios
In a large conference room, the Quad Camera covers the full seating span from one position above or below the screens, and group framing follows whoever is speaking.
A boardroom with two or three front-of-room screens connects them straight to the HDMI outputs, with the Codec EQ wall mounted, rack eared or free-standing in the AV cabinet.
A glass-walled room that faces a corridor relies on meeting zones, which keep framing on the people inside the boundary and passers-by out of the shot.

CS-KIT-EQ-K9 and CS-KIT-EQ-C-K9 differ only in camera finish: CS-KIT-EQ-K9 includes the First Light CS-QUADCAM2, CS-KIT-EQ-C-K9 includes the Carbon Black CS-QUADCAM2-C, and both carry the same CS-CODEC-EQ-K9 codec. The Room Navigator CS-T10-TS-L stays First Light in both, so an all-dark room handles the controller finish separately. Sites that prohibit Wi-Fi and Bluetooth move to CS-KIT-EQ-NR-K9, which keeps the same four-sensor camera, 90W PoE++ budget and 18W in-meeting draw. Rooms that need a motorised head with 20x optical zoom move to CS-KIT-EQ-4K-K9.
Ordering Checklist
- Quad Camera power supply: Add PSU-12VDC-70W-GR= if the order does not already carry it. The Quad Camera requires this supply, so a missing unit leaves the camera unpowered.
- Codec mounting: Add CS-CODEC-EQ-RCK= rack ears or CS-CODEC-EQ-WMK= wall-mount kit if the codec is not free-standing. Rack and wall positions each need their own accessory.
- AV integrator options: Add the AV Integrator License for AES67 third-party audio, the AV Integrator option key for Audio Console, or L-KITEQ-AV. Third-party audio and the full Audio API stay locked without them.
- CUCM registration: Use CUCM 12.5 or later with the Room Kit EQ device pack. Native CUCM registration needs both.
- Ethernet cable: Select CAB-ETH-1.5M-GR, CAB-ETH-3M-GR or CAB-ETH-5M-GR for the PoE++ runs, or CAB-CAT5E-CMP-20M or CAB-CAT5E-CMP-30M where plenum-rated cable is required. Each run needs a cable PID of the right length and rating.
