PWR-IE50W-AC-IEC Description
The PWR-IE50W-AC-IEC is a Cisco industrial DIN-rail 50W AC-to-DC power supply for IE 3000 switch cabinets that run from a standard AC outlet. The supply takes AC 100-240V through an IEC 60320 C14 inlet and delivers 24VDC at 2.1A, with a 20ms holdup time at full load. The supply has no PoE output, is not approved for hazardous-location installations and is rated for -20C to +70C.

PWR-IE50W-AC-IEC takes AC power through a plug-in IEC 60320 C14 inlet, while PWR-IE50W-AC is hardwired, so the IEC model suits cabinets that want a detachable cord and the hardwired model suits fixed field wiring. Sites that feed 125-250 VDC, need Class 1 Div 2 or Zone 2 approval, or run down to -40C need PWR-IE50W-AC, because PWR-IE50W-AC-IEC accepts only AC 90-264V, is not approved for hazardous locations and is rated -20C to +70C. PWR-IE50W-AC-L is also hardwired and not approved for hazardous locations, but it reaches 88% typical efficiency against 80% and weighs 0.39 lb against 1.43 lb. Any load that needs PoE moves to PWR-IE65W-PC-AC, which outputs 54VDC at 65W, because the 24VDC output of PWR-IE50W-AC-IEC carries no PoE.
