It supports a telecom-grade –40 to –72 VDC input range and delivers a 12V 33.5A regulated output for system power. According to the official power supply specification table, this DC PSU provides a 400W power maximum rating with an efficiency of 85%, making it suitable for DC-powered enterprise sites, service-provider facilities and environments using central –48V DC power plants.The unit uses a terminal-block DC input connector and requires 15A #14-gauge wiring per Cisco’s power specification. It offers a 2 ms output hold-up time for DC line stability and is field-replaceable, enabling redundant DC/DC or AC/DC dual-PSU configurations on Catalyst 8300 1RU platforms.
