PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250 Description
The PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250 is a Cisco rugged 250W AC/DC power supply module for field-replaceable power slots in IE 4010, IE 5000, IE9300 and IR8340 industrial platforms. The module accepts 85 to 264 VAC or 88 to 300 VDC, has a galvanically isolated output and is rated for hazardous locations. A 250W module cannot be mixed with the 400W module for load sharing, and 4PPoE Type 4 loads above 60W per port need the 400W module.

In an outdoor cabinet with an IE9320 PoE switch, one 250W module raises the available PoE power to 170W, against 70W from a single 150W module.
A utility or industrial cabinet fed from a high-voltage DC bus of 100 to 250 VDC nominal can power a supported rugged switch or router through the module without a separate converter.

PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250 and PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H take the same 85-264 VAC or 88-300 VDC input, but PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250 delivers 250W where PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H delivers 150W. On an IE9320 PoE model that is 170W of PoE budget from one 250W module against 70W from one 150W module, so a PoE load above the 150W class needs PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250. A cabinet fed by low-voltage DC, 18-75 VDC, cannot use either and needs PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H, which stays at 150W. 4PPoE Type 4 loads above 60W per port need PWR-RGD-AC-DC-400, and 150W or 250W modules cannot be mixed with it for load sharing.
