CP-PWR-CUBE-4 Description
The CP-PWR-CUBE-4 is a Cisco Power Cube 4 AC-to-DC power adapter for Cisco 8800 Series IP phones deployed without PoE. The adapter supplies 48V DC against the 0.917A input rating of the Cisco IP Phone 8841 and 8861, and each unit needs one CP-PWR-CORD country cord from a set of ten regional options. The Power Cube 4 is the only supply that can run a Cisco IP Phone 8851 with two key expansion modules, while the Cisco 8831 conference phone and 6900 Series use Power Cube 3 instead.

CP-PWR-CUBE-4 is the standard Cisco Power Cube 4, while CP-PWR-CUBE-4-S is the same Power Cube 4 with a power switch, so a desk that needs an on/off control at the cube must order CP-PWR-CUBE-4-S. Both are listed as optional non-PoE power for the Cisco 8800 phones, including the 8811, 8841, 8845, 8851, 8861 and 8865. CP-PWR-CUBE-3 is the older Power Cube 3 and belongs to the Cisco 8831 conference phone and the Cisco 6900 Series, so those phones move to CP-PWR-CUBE-3 rather than CP-PWR-CUBE-4. An 8851 with two key expansion modules can be powered only by Power Cube 4.
Ordering Checklist
- Phone hosts: Use with Cisco IP Phone 8811, 8841, 8845, 8851, 8851NR, 8861, 8865 and 8865NR, whose data sheets list the Power Cube 4 as optional power. The 8831 conference phone and 6900 Series use CP-PWR-CUBE-3= instead.
- Country power cord: Add one CP-PWR-CORD option (AP, AR, AU, BZ, CE, CN, JP, NA, SW or UK) as its own line for each cube. The cord is listed separately, so a cube ordered alone cannot connect to the local AC outlet.
- Key expansion modules: Order CP-PWR-CUBE-4= for an 8851 with two CP-8800-A-KEM= modules. Only the Power Cube 4 can power that combination; PoE cannot.
